Default RE: Two questions. . .

I was going back through previous threads and must havemissed this one. I almost bought an LS with this system installed, but decided to go with an XLS w/nav instead. Anyways, so what you guys are saying is that anyone of us could just buy and install this in our Outties since they are all prewired?Has anyone found a cheaper place to buy these online?

Right now I have a portable 7" DVD i'm using for my daughter that was $89 (and a 9" DVD would be like $150 - $200). She likes it and it's convenient to take inside offices, stores, homes to keep her entertained. It would be cool to have this headliner unit as it would play thru the RF system, but I can't see shelling out the$1500+ bux.

Anyone have one that can make a good argument to sway me into buy this?

where do I find the wires? i have a 2011 oultalnder but I did not see any wiress in the headliner, just the marks for the OEM RES unit. I got mine from e-bay and I was wondering if they didn't run the wiress all the way true.

ionicaw, look post # 11, just update the link for the image, but I don't know if 2011 model is prewired still; this connector provides only power and ground wires to the RES; for audio/video communication between the head unit and the RES is necessary to make some connections (look here pkpaperinik-rdenis method https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/mi...vd-mmcs-19785/) or buy the Audio/Video Upgrade Harness, part number 8528A023 or newer... (I made my own harness)
