Along time ago When i got my3000gt from a owner and he didnt havethe key for the passenger container (glove compartment).

Does anyone know if all 3000gts have the same key that will unlock the box?


Or do i have to finally have to have a Key-makeror locksmith tomake a key for the compartment to open up.?

I am sorry, I am not laughing at you, I am laughing because the same thing happened to me.

When I got my 3000 I noticed the same problem, my key wouldn't lock/unlock the glove box nor would it lock/unlock the hatch. This was quite annoying to me so I decided to go to the stealership and find out more. APARENTLY the 3000's origionally come with a regular key and the vallet key. The valet key will only start the car, it will not lock/unlock the glovebox or hatch. So obviously the valet key was the only key I recieved and It sounds like the same for you.

I think you can give mitsu youe vn and they can get you another key but I just settled for never locking my glovebox.

go to mitsubishi, get a new key cut. It's like $13.

just bring your VIN # to the dealership, and they'll cut you a new key for $13 or something like that. It's real cheap.
