Default Hard time with my clutch.

Hi folks I have a 94 3000GT SL and when Im stopped and rev my engine then try to gun it. I cant get into first or Its really hard to throw it in gear. I shift fine when Im driving normal but some times even if I dont rev and Im stopped at a light then try to put the car in gear it wont. I just replaced the clutch so I dont think thats it and I checked the fluid in the clutch master cylinder and its at max. Its not a really big problem but its kind of a pain in the @$$. If anybody knows whats wrong please help me.

Uhhh... I don't even own a Mitsu but I'm gonna take a stab at this one. Number one it's possible your first gear doesn't have synchros so it would not be advisible to rev your car in neutral and slam it in first... not sure why you'd want to do this anyways.... if you're looking to launch most people have the car in gear (i.e. 1st) with the clutch in and rev and either dump or slip the clutch... both are bad for your clutch and consequently the rubber you leave behind on the road.

first place to start is your synchro's. my evo did the same thing, and it is a big problem if you dont do something about it now. mine was doing that and then i lost 2nd because i thought it wasn't a big deal.

You should put the trans in 1st gear keeping the clutch depressed BEFORE revving the engine- then rev the engine and pop the clutch out when accellerating. IF you rev your engine as you attempt to put it in 1st gear, you'll putting unneccesary stress on your 1st gear synchros.
