im currently reinstalling diagbox bec i somehow got it deactivated
when trying it out on my outie

do i need to have both wifi and antivirus disabled during installation (as well as when connected to car)?

and is it safe to upgrade diagbox (say from 6.0 to 6.19) thru the diagbox software (right upper corner 'arrow' button)?

also, what do you guys think is the best diagbox version for a 2012 GT (US)?

You need to have wifi disabled, antivirus is in my case without any problems. Don't use the upgrade thru the software. This will maybee lock the software. Only use the offline updates provided by scarymistake in a few forums e. g. here:

Best software for 2012er Outi is latest software. I use in the moment 7.11 without any problems on my 2011er Outi. You have to use TLCD-Fix for coding.

 

Just wondering, Where do you find the download link for TLCD-Fix and how do you go about applying it during installation of diabox? before installation or after? or after installation but before activation?

if anyone would be able to clear this up for me it would be awesome.

i finally have some good news..
i successfully configured my 2012 GT ETACS!

- TPMS disabled
- independent fog lights
- disabled avg fuel economy auto reset
- speedo recalibrated to match 235/70/16s (tire circumf)

here's my step by step:

1. mount diagbox6 exe with daemon
2. disable av software
3. install and close
4. use v6 patch
5. open db6
6. check for updates
7. i chose to download 6.08
8. close db6 after download
9. use v6 patch again
10. reopen db6; it will update to 6.08
11. open tlcd.exe

with regards to lexia hardware:
1. download psa checker / installer
2. connect device to pc (diagbox already running)
3. open psa program; press activate
4. i had to downgrade my fw from 4.3 to 4.2.4 (many other versions available)
5. confirmed my fw is now 4.2.4 thru refresh

---------------------
now it's ready to connect to my outie
1. with db6.08 still running and lexia still connected to pc, just follow on screen prompts
2. i chose citroen 4007 settings
3. whenever this: "communication.. to vehicle.. impossible... validate to retry.." pops up, i just pressed X.
4. connect VCI (lexia device) to car when prompted
5. VIN should appear automatically
6. choose REPAIR...etc
7. get to PROGRAMMING BY DEFAULT and choose X in the next window

now im able to actually update my parameters:
(double click the line you want to change)
(gear button is to save after all changes made)

TPMS - line mentioning tire auto inflation detection
FOGLIGHTS - choose TYPE B
AVG MPG - deactivate line that talks about fuel economy auto reset with ignition (+ of course "info" button step )
SPEEDO - enter new tire circumference (diam x pi)

i applied the fix after activation and updating from db 6.01 to db 6.08.

I bought the cable myself of amazon butn the software came with it didnt work. I downloaded diabox 6.01 off another forum but do not have password to open it. Snce Vm ware cant run on both of my lappiea, had to bought a Hp tx 2000 and did a fresh install of xp on it. Hioefully i'll get some juice. Will keep u guys updated

 

Does the Lexia cable work with 2011 and up Lancers, or is it limited to 2008 to 2010? Thanks.
