Default Outlander 2007 temperature control dial not working for heating

The temperature control dial of my Outlander 2007 not working properly.
When I set the temperature control dial for heating it's not working, but when I set( push the air conditioning switch) for cooling it's ok.
Also, the blower speed selection dial and the Mode selection dial buttons work correctly.
What can be defect?

thank you

It looks like the temp control is built into the AC control panel which is the circuit board the 3 HVAC controls are attached to, part 7820081xb, but it's crazy expensive. If the other controls work as you say then power and ground to that circuit board should be good. I'd be looking at a scrap yard for one or ebay? See attached pdf

Thank you for your respone.
How can I do to verify if the circuit board is defect?
Do you have a "tutorial", a sketch or steps for disassembly? When I Turn the temperature control dial clockwise or anticlockwise I hearing strange noise, as if something wouldn't open.
I attached a short audio with the noises (at second 5 I rotate the temperature control **** and between seconds 6-8you can hear the strange noise - as if something were slipping

Well, I didn't know about the noises previously. It appears like most cars there is a "blend door" that mixes hot and cold air to get correct temp, in this case it's controlled by a motor, you may be hearing the motor trying to move the door which could be binding I suppose, I have never been in the dash that far. I attached some pages that show the locations of the motor (Number 4), the A/C-ECU, and a circuit diagram. The motor and ACU are just to the left and below the blower motor/cabin filter. You will just have to get in there best you can and try to eyeball what may be going on and if it is accessible you can meter the circuit to see if the motor is getting a signal voltage as you change temperature. I would pull the housing surrounding the temp controls and pull the radio and see what you can see. Assuming you pulled or had someone pull code from all modules as there could be hvac related codes for that circuit. These pages are from Mitchell1, you can get a online manual subscription from them for a year for $29 or a month for $20 here https://www.eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp

I really appreciate the PDF and the information. I’m currently looking into a similar question.
