Replaced my gasket today, started up and I was still leaking oil, all over the top of my valve cover and down into my fourth spark plug tube. Wtf! And as for the smoke comin off my headers and out my exhaust, some people are tellin me my head gasket is blown

 

Go rent the compression tester from Autozone. That'll rule it out.

Did you use any gasket sealer? Might want to give that a shot. Buy a can of "The Right Stuff"

 

I didn't use any sealer...tht was probably my first mistake. I put my gasket in the valve cover, but it didn't wanna stay seated in there, so everytime I put the cover on the gasket would fall outta place

 

Ah ha! There's the issue.

You can put a bead of sealant around the whole thing, or just on the corners to stick it down. Which ever works for you.

Remember, a can of 'The Right Stuff' and you'll be good to go.
