Seriously dude, that engine dont give you hardly any more power over the stock. Its pretty much pointless.

Is there any reason why you want to stick with this car exactly? You can get a GSX and be pushing that power right out of the box... and with a few mods be pushing 400 fairly easily.

Bottom line, its just not going to happen without a turbo.. and if you do turbo it thats not going to be the end of your problems. Not to mention it will still be slow.

 

200 is out of the question w/ 10.5:1 compression in this motor. MABEY and i do mean MABEY w/ the 12.5 but you'd need to make sure that it would tollerate 92 or 93 depending on where ur located.

Look at it this way... you could spend 5300 bucks on a new motor shipped, rip ur old one out, drop this one in and MABEY be at.... 170-180whp.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Spend 5000 on a gst or gsx and spend the other 300 on a boost controller, intake and boost gauge and be about 250whp. N2M after you sell ur car you'd have more than enough money for a EVOIII 16g upgrade or even bigger if you wanted.

 

Ok ok I think i'm seeing the picture here. But here's the thing..I know exactly jack about turbo's. I was asked if I wanna stick with this car. If I had a choice I'd say no. In my area the used car dealerships are freaking vultures. If it has the name eclipse or mustang it don't matter about miles or power plant your looking at $6000+. If I had a choice I'd love a gsx. Hell i've even thought about trading it off for an '04 lacncer at one time. I've been checking ebay and will continue to, but even there a decent milage gsx is going for $7000.

I guess the real question should have been is this ride worth doing anything to??

Check out DSM Tuners for sale section. Thats pretty good. Or DSM Trader. Dealerships are a rip off... and those ones you see on ebay are mostly from dealerships... they are rip offs too

You are looking in the wrong places if you have only found them for 7k or more. Check ebay, autotrader, cars.com. they are out there. i almost bought one for 4300 bucks about 4 months back. ----After 3 mins of looking here are several, starting at 3k and up:
