Hi everyone, Twinman here! I was the first to initiate this thread...I Have now replaced the turbo (approx 1500 EUR) and my Outlander 2007, 2.0 Di works better, but not perfect. With my caravan hooked on I still may experience that the computer send the "underboost" signal and set the motor/turbo in safety mode (approx 10% power). This was my first and last Mitsubishi!

as it turned out the dealer did not believe my mechanic. so I pulled the wires off the sensors while the car was running. then they could find a code, changed the idle air control valve, and now the problem seams to have been solved. I hope this helps someone, anyone..

Mitsubishi doesn't make the engine/turbo, that's all VW German Engineering. All cars using that engine have the exact same problem both VW and Mitsubishi. That is why that engine was phased out and replaced with a real Mitsubishi or a PSA one.
